a guy at work with me has one, R plate i think.  he's not that chuffed with it, he had a vr6 in childless days gone by and is a bit disappointed with it.  i've been in it p*ssed out of my head coming back from a company do and i didn't feel sick so i guess the ride quality is ok.  heard that air con can be an expensive common fault..

VW used to make a 4wd/syncro Transporter/Camper van in the 80s.

4wd would be useful for getting off a muddy camp site, but can't see why you'd need it in the Tesco car park.

I can think of one instance when a 4WD supercharged motor would be useful in a car park
