driveshaft bolts

right i need tips on getitn these driveshaft bolts out as all of them seem to be rounded off
just my luck

but i need the driveshafts out to replace them
as they are vr6 shafts and i need to put my gti ones in

mole grips wont work either

First soak it with wd40 then wack a splined socket slightly smaller over the bolt and yank it off   :cool: (got that tip off VR6)

if that wont work then get yourself down the gym sweet'art :laugh:

sure your using the right tool?? Sometimes they are not hex bolts.

any1 got a pic of the toll i shud use because surely all the bolts cant be rounded off
but its the only one that fits feels tight when i put it in the bolt
once i start to try undo the bolt it just turns

mine were torx heads, some are hex heads, i have also heard of some of them being Star heads.

I think the majority of them are torx heads though so try using some of them first.

but bear in mind if you've had a go with an allen key you've probably f**ked them up anyway....

i aint used a alan key

used a torx bit i think
sort of like a star

but the bolt looks like it has more little points on it

I got a funny feeling mine are allen bolts, not torx?!  :undecided:
