Having read all the threas about Mark3's cutting out at random moments I was wondering if you would recommend changing the ECU mentioned on my car. It only has a problem with cutting out when starting from cold ?
Go out in the morning starts first time touch the accelerator and the revs dive and it cuts out. Take about 5 minutes of idling with the foot on the pedal to keep it going.
I have looked at the service history and so far it has had new starter, rortar arm, throttle and butterfly cleaned, and new temp sender relay fitted.
Should I change the Relay mentioned in the other thread and if so what position does it go in the fuse box as the Haye's manual does not mention it

Sorry to go over old ground but just want to get this sorted right !
