Just an update on this, thanks davo246 for the FCP Euro link

Ordered the parts from them, arrived today, followed the vid and I now have buttons once again.

I know it's subjective and the haptics are usable, but for me buttons are a game changer, really pleased with the swap and it was cheaper from them than getting the used parts from eBay.

Happy to post pictures or offer help to anyone who wants to do the same.

Also have some haptic buttons and trim going if anyone is interested

It was very easy, no coding, just bolt off and bolt on, following the vid exactly. I was unsure with the whole airbag thing too but left the battery off for 30 mins as directed and all seemed ok. Lots of error lights when reconnecting the battery which all went away after driving down the road.

What if you have a heated steering wheel - is there a set that includes that additional button on the right hand switch set ?

Heated ‘wheel on the mk8 activated by bottom right of touch pad and on an 8.5 it’s on the top of the right hand side buttons where it’s not likely to be activated accidentally by ham fisted YouTubers

This set has the heated button too, it's in the same place as the haptic buttons

Absolutely perfect, a great mod and so much easier to use without looking than the haptics.

It's easy to do following the YouTube vid and I'd get the parts again from FCP euro
