It's with the detailer as we speak, so a few more days to way. There'll be plenty of pics then :)

Sacrilegious post incoming. It's been a while as I joined the dark side in getting an Audi S3 just over 2 years ago, for a number of reasons:
Ridiculous waiting times on the Golf
Not keen on Mk8's nose
Software seemed flakier on VW platfor compared to Audi
More physical buttons (steering wheel and climate controls)

Well I've just chopped it in for an Audi RS3, with the wife's blessing. Just to give you all the heads up that there's some canny deals out there right now and some new/unallocated stock coming through if you fancy it. By far the most I've ever paid for a car, but residuals look great and my car is £8170 less than its £65415 list price. Good standard spec (for an Audi), great spec with the Tech Pro pack added. Good indicated residuals make it reasonably priced Vs List. I'm going to clear finance as soon as I pick it up to get deposit contribution (which will completely skint me), but the terms I went with was £15k down, giving £500pm for 4 years, with a GFV of about £34k.

Getting it next Saturday. S3 value held up well - £43.5k RRP, paid £38k new, sold for £31k at 26 months old via Carwow.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Hoping it'll be a little more fun and lairy than the S3. Stupid amount of money to spend on a car, but residuals/discounts soften the blow, and it's hard to find even a humdrum Golf is pushing £40k RRP.

An awful lot of money but sounds a bit nicer than an ID.3!
It’s a car that has very few negatives in my book

MH - I switched from a 2023 MK8 R with the performance pack and DCC to a new RS3 Vorsprung back in January. Apart from fuel economy and ride comfort in comfort mode the RS3 beats the R hands down.

Love it! Enjoy your pick up on Saturday

What's with ride comfort in comfort mode Vs the R, better/worse/softer/harder? Not getting a Vorsprung, mine is standard plus Tech pack pro, so no adjustable damping on mine. Hope it's not too much harder than the S3. Fuel economy will definitely be down, but we're talking about maybe an extra £200 a year at the pumps, not worth worrying about, although in sure Sootchucker could crack 50mpg in an RS3!

Hoping to escape the Bridgestones curse on this one - odd are against it, most RS3s I've seen through the dealers advertising new stock are on Bridgestones, I was shown a video of one in stock at Tunbridge Wells yesterday and it was on Pirelli P-Zeros.

I found the R to be softer in comfort. The RS is firmer (spring rate) but it’s still comfortable as the damping is better.

Fuel economy is not too bad if you are sensible - I did a 600 mile round trip to Newcastle recently and averaged 37 in efficiency mode and that included around half a dozen pulls from roundabouts etc but if I take it for a 20 mile blast with 10 miles driven relatively hard it returns around 20 mpg.

Mine is on PZeros but they are the R version and grip really well - I wanted the Bridgestones as they are the better tyre - Audi only fit the Potenza Sport and that tyre gets great reviews - definitely light years ahead of the S001!

What colour did you go for? And did you spec the buckets? Not sure that many pipeline stock cars will have the buckets.
