Have you ordered an 8.5 ?

Hi all, new member here, quick question, I've ordered a new Mk 8.5 GTI, I've been given a build date of week commencing 13th Jan and told usually takes 6 weeks to get it over here and available for delivery once built.. am i right in thinking build should be completed that week so looking likely of delivery end of Feb?

Hi I have an confirmed build date of 6th of January with a 6 weeks, have just asked for registration and delivery for March as it will be close to then anyways.
Mine is a lease i did ask if could change the colour but was told it would have to be done as a new order so just left it as is.

Thanks, it's looking like a similar time then.. i'm told the factory build only takes a couple of days.. not sure how true that is. Mines a lease too, will know more in the coming weeks but just trying to judge when it's likely to be here

Finally pulled the trigger on a new GTI today. Deposit paid and order has gone through. Advised could be up to 6 months for delivery though but should be earlier. Cannot wait.

I ordered on 10th August, It took exactly 10 weeks from order until delivery day for me!👌 they originally told me it would be at least 20 weeks, so with a little luck you’ll receive it a lot sooner. 🤞

R-lovers shouldn't hold their breath just yet, as Autocar seems to be the only media outlet that has picked up on this 'story'. The article has one artist's impression drawing and some very sketchy details. I haven't seen it myself, but a YouTuber has made a short video that amounts to him reading a few paragraphs from the article. Lol. There has been no official announcement from VW (as far as I can see) and nothing on VWROC.

Mine was build week 51 but was informed yeaterday that it’s still in build and no further update. I suppose Xmas holidays and possibly strikes impacting.

Mine was week 50 and arrived in Port of Tyne yesterday. Maybe I was just lucky but it’s probably just waiting on a ship in Emden.
