When did date people order? And what bw and delivery date have you been given?

I placed a fresh factory order on 10th August, it is now at status 20 with a confirmed build week of wk39 (23rd September ).

Ordered 27/08 and told Jan

I was initially told delivery would be approximately 20 weeks, which would be late December/early January, mine has so far progressed much faster than the dealer or myself expected, as long as there are no issues🤞 and it doesn’t get pushed back that is! Delivery to the uk is usually around 4 weeks after build, so I am hoping that I will receive the car late October or early November.

I’ve been given a date of 28th Nov - pretty much 12 weeks from ordering.  And that’s for a standard model that was already at stage 10.  Hoping it will be sooner.  Will be good to hear if others are coming sooner than expected.

Thanks BillSan, Assuming that the 4 weeks from build date to dealer delivery is correct, then yes, that would be around 3 months until collection, I except the fact however that there’s a huge possibility that this could change, hope not though!

Just had an update from VW, there is a big delay at the emden port at the moment and hundreds of cars are sat at the mercy of the shipping companies, but to expect a hefty delay

There's always delays in Emden and the dealers are powerless to influence it or even have any insight as to whats going on. My wife was waiting on an ID4 earlier this year, the car was built and sitting at Emden for 6+ weeks and eventually we pushed the dealer to find an alternative. He sourced us another ID4, fresh off the boat and the inexplicable thing is, it was a newer build than our original order, which was still sitting on the docks. This suggests that it's not safe to assume at all that its first come first served, cars could end up at the back of a queue for whatever reasons while other cars skip ahead.

 I believe our original car eventually turned up 2-3 weeks later in the end.

‘Hundreds of cars’ is just a small part of a single vehicle transport ship, vessel PATARA is currently birthed at Emden and will shortly be en-route to the port of sheerness UK, (ETA sept 13th 01:00hrs), anyone who's car was at status 38 as of today (sept 10th) may find their car is on that ship.

Just had a call to say that mine (base spec, black) has arrived at the dealers. Won’t be collecting until the end of the month as got to sell my transporter privately first. But going to pop in for a look after work today!
