the bro-in-law just brought an fto gr for 6k , anyone know the spec before i offer to race him in my valver?????

im not entirely sure but i know its not incredibly fast, 2.0 v6 and somethin in the region of 8-8.5 seconds but it has quite a lot of torque so will probably be quicker from 30 through the gears, plus also supposed to be a bit sh!t round corners.  :)

i've just found out its 180 bhp. f**k!! hoping its more topend seems that the 0-60 time is slower

i take it back 7.5 seems to be more acurate and apparently good for 140mph, weighs in at 1199kgs

a bit heavier then! you never know if i remove the seats and dash ect i might just whop his ass ;D i reckon i could hold upto about 70 then he'd just piss off into the distance!!!

Well just take him somewhere twisty, my mates nissan 300 3.0 v6 cant keep up with my 16v on some roads, just a shame he flys past on straight roads.  >:(

I still can't get my head around how a 15 year old car can still outhandle fto's and other newer peformance cars, and also how a 180 bhp car has virtually the same 0-60 times :-\ it seems to me that without turbo's and superchargers all these new "hot hatches" are a waste of money!!

The mk2, particularly the 16v was an exception car for its time.

I remember being in his nissan coming back from football with r mates following behind and as we came over this bridge and u turn left while going over and he lost the back end now we were only goin bout 40 and apparently his rear tyre was less than inch off clipping the kerb according to the lads behind and weve been over at like 60 in my golf no problems.
