The instant torque at any time (never in the wrong gear) is great, even if there's faster cars on the road
Whatever you drive there’s always some nutter faster than you!
In today’s road conditions it’s more about what little tactile satisfaction is left from overly sanitised but increasingly sophisticated machines. I’m quite looking forward to going EV in a few years. I’d quite like to take an ID on for a few days shakedown if VW do a 24 or 48 hour test drive promo at some point.
Anyway, back on topic, I can’t think of too many things I’d want to change with VCDS so haven’t used my cable in years, I didn’t even attempt any changes on my TCR. Things have moved on since the mk6 days where there were so many ‘hidden’ activations you could perform. Most of the current gen cars have menus to activate those little tweaks anyway. The challenges left are probably more pro level where an incompetent amateur like myself would be out of my depth.
