Enjoy your new car when it arrives College. Mine is a 69 plate in Isaac. They are fantastic cars (as we know). Only thing is we can't really drive them at the moment!

Nice! I understand the excitement levels when I picked mine up. I couldn't sleep for days in the run up to collection day!!
Here's mine; it's very similar!

The Brescias look great, can you use any alloy cleaner on them? I understand they’re diamond cut? Does this limit what I can use on them? Excuse my ignorance if any of this is wrong 😑

I'd never use any type of wheel cleaner on them; it's too harsh.
I took all the wheels off mine and washed and polished them and put several coats of Poorboys wax on them. I just wash them with the same water I wash the car with now.
They come up great every time.

Yes Brescia's are diamond cut. I never use anything more than car shampoo and warm water on mine, and I ensure I rinse them thoroughly with clean water.

I'm not really into detailing so you'll probably get better advice elsewhere about cleaning, but one thing you really don't want to do with diamond cut wheels is damage them. If any moisture gets under the lacquer you'll eventually end up with a marbling effect known as white worm.

Yes I’ve seen on here the dreaded “white worm” mentioned, I’m sure a harsh alloy cleaner would eventually creep under the lacquer, so will just use normal car wash on them thanks.

@College; if clean your wheels every couple of weeks or more frequently and they’re ‘wearing’ some decent protection (e.g. a couple of coats of wax or sealant with good durability, a specific ceramic wheel sealant) you shouldn’t ever need to use a dedicated wheel cleaner. If using wax or sealant, then I’d recommend reapplying it every 3 - 6 months, or sooner if it no longer provides adequate protection.

If you do use a wheel cleaner, ensure it’s ph neutral and never ever use an acid based cleaner or anything harsh on diamond cut alloys as it can quickly degrade the lacquer coating on the wheels, and the polished metal surface will quite soon become dull and gradually take on an appearance similar to white worm corrosion. Be aware that the majority of the many hand car wash places use strong / harsh cleaning products to remove dirt quickly - time is money to them, so strong cleaning products = more cars cleaned = more ££££’s. Therefore, avoid the hand wash places if you value the appearance of your wheels......and your car’s paintwork.

Also, I’d recommend inspecting your wheels thoroughly for damage the sooner of fortnightly or each time you clean it. if there’s and stone chip damage to the lacquered surface, then repair the damage with a clear lacquer paint pen a.s.a.p to stop water ingress under the lacquer in the area of the stone chip.

College - congrats on your new purchase. How does used car buying work at the mo? I'm assuming you couldn't have a test drive? Were you able to view it?

Mines virtually identical to yours with the exception of Parker vs. Brescia wheels - same Diamond Cut finish though.
As above comment, mine are only washed with a snow foam, shampoo and a sponge. I have used Dragons Breath (the smell is out of this world) - ph neutral wheel cleaner but don’t bother anymore as I wash them pretty regularly.
