I made that mistake.

I specced it, but when the dealer sent me the final order to check & confirm he'd left the option off and I didn't spot it was missing. By the time I'd realised it was missing the spec had been locked. He apologised, but in fairness it was both our mistake.

My car lives outside, so I thought i'd really miss it, but truth be told a jug of tepid tap water has done the trick when needed. The trick is not to breath in the car when you first open it up to start.

Reckon I could manage about a minute... Which would give the AC time to get going.

In fairness it should be standard in a cold country like the UK.....

My lads Focus ST has it as standard, as did his previous Fiesta "Red" Edition.

Come to think of it most of the povo spec Focus's in work had it as standard......

I had a F reg XR3i that had a heated front screen all those years ago and it was great, cleared the screen in no time

this is why always found it strange it was not the normal much much earlier as used to get a lift into work in a friends XR3i most winter mornings at the time - you could just about see the filaments in certain lights but it was in reality invisible. Good car the XR3i

Personally had an RS2000 and to this day regret not sticking it in a garage as would love to have it now, but it was well used, many a cruise with the lads haha, remembered fondly

I agree with you on the RS2000, I had a signal yellow one and wish I had it now, they go for really good money now. The XR3i was a great car, it had power steering, central locking,  electric windows manual sunroof, the Mk2 Golf Gti 8v I had didn't even have power steering lol
