@Exonian / @Watts, did your MK8.5's not come with the warning triangle? Mine did whereas my previous MK8 didn't. The few new MK8.5's I've seen here have all had them. Strange.

Spent some time this morning tweaking the car sound settings further to make the most out of the Mk7 Helix subwoofer I recently installed. I'm now as happy as I was when the same was fitted in my previous MK7. A great bit of kit which feels like a stage 2 after the centre speaker upgrade.

Same as Watts, just a gaping slot.

The car did come with a boot mat and rear window blinds though

Thanks Beebopper and Watts for the info on the triangle.
Maybe I’ll source one from Skoda to shave another 50p off the RRP!

I’d love a sub in my car but goodness knows when I’d find time to source one or more importantly fit it.

I believe that any cars supplied with a warning triangle will also have a first aid kit and hi-viz vest. A box can be ticked at order.

Took it on our first long drive, 240 miles to Yorkshire. A good steady run with 70-75 cruising and 44mpg return. Comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Hopefully there'll be some good roads to try out the 'Nurburgring' mode on!

A few little accessories fitted, not all today mind. The first was a warning triangle, essential to fill in the gaping hole in the tailgate. Then a very smart cover for the key in gloss black with chrome trim and finally a tray in the top of the armrest cubby. Covers up all the cr@p in the bottom of the cubby and gives a nice place to put the keys as I don't like them sitting in the cupholder.

Also, after discussions on another thread about tyre pressures, I dropped mine from 3.0 bar to 2.5 as I had on my 7.5. Only had a short drive so far but the car feels more solid on the road now whereas it had felt a bit skittish and the steering too light.
