They look spot on, does anybody here know of an acceptable and safe method for removing the centre caps without removing the wheels from the car? I think I know the answer, but I have a set of VW logo dynamic caps that were already on my previous mk8 when I bought it, and intend to fit them at some point.

If you have an old satnav with the window suction mount, the mount is good at removing centre caps from wheels. Mount the suction part of the satnav mount to the centre cap, lock it on and then pull gently.

Thank you to those that replied with ideas on how to remove the centre caps without removing the wheels, the old garmin suction cup method does work, and to my surprise it was done with relative ease. Only one of the rear caps put up a fight, but soon came off.

It was sat there before I started, has been frequenting the garden for around two years and isn’t bothered by me doing things about the place, was happily chilling on the lawn yesterday while I was cutting the grass.

It’s a vixen, and pretty tame at this point, it does get some chicken bones now and again, it disappears if someone else joins me though, I wouldn’t normally feed a wild fox, but when it first turned up it was clearly unwell and I felt sorry for it. There is also a dog fox that turns up now and again, but he’s not tame in the slightest.

One thing I notice about the dynamic centre caps, is that they don’t seem to clip in as tightly as the standard caps, not sure if that’s normal or not, but they do seem to be mounted as they should be, I guess the design of the cap doesn’t allow the use of clips that exert the same force?!

Yeah, expensive for what they are tbh. The VW logo ones are the same price, had they of not already been fitted to my previous mk8 and subsequently replaced with the originals when I traded it in, I would never have put any on my 8.5.
