Just tried launch control for the first time. Pops and bangs then wheel spin. Much fun at a Costa drive through! 😂

I've often wondered why you need ESC off to do a launch, surely all that wheel spin is slower?

What tyres are you running on your GTI?

I had esc in sport…it has Bridgestone Potenza S005 which it came with. No idea if they are any good but I did notice going around a roundabout in a huge downpour yesterday that they felt very slippy.

So far I think the S005's I have are better than the S001's the Mk7's used to come with..... but the real best tyres will be PS4S's and eventually I will get mine swapped.... I even thought about doing it on delivery....
