I was very fond of my mk8 Clubsport too. The first car I’ve kept for a decent length of time (albeit my Ed40 was nearly as long but that wasn’t my daily driver) and would have had it even longer if the (subsequently cured) bongs hadn’t driven me to order an R.
Unrelated, but mk8 Clubsports seem relatively popular in my neck of the woods despite being a rare sight elsewhere. I often see the Dolphin Grey Clubsport that shared the showroom with my R, plus a white 23 ‘Clubsport’ numberplated car, then there’s a few more I see from time to time around the city when I venture that way.
