Seat belt question
« on: 18 December 2020, 23:14 »
The front passenger seat belt has a weird loop sewn onto it, been the same on both my golfs and i saw it on the mk8 too this week...

What is it for?

I think it’s to stop the seatbelt buckle from rattling against the B pillar trim when the front passenger seatbelt isn’t being used.

The loop’s not needed on the driver’s seatbelt because it (the seatbelt) should be in use when the car is being driven, so the buckle won’t be rattling against the driver’s side B pillar.

Ahhh OK that makes sense.

Mrs G hates it though, the stitching on it is really sharp.
