Got it - if you configure a GTI without DCC and select 19”s you get the sports suspension prompt, but when you do the same thing for Clubsport you don’t get the prompt.

Aha OK, last time I looked the clubby configuration was still broken lol.

Maybe with the already lowered ride it doesn't have that adjustment?

It's a shame we don't have anyone with access to the workshop system to see if there are any part number differences.

Starting to check out the discounts available - my ideal specification is £39,920 OTR according to the VW configurator (trying to keep it under 40k)

You do know that the £40k is based on 'list price' not 'OTR price'?

The £40k 'list price' limit is the RRP, VAT, delivery charges and pre-delivery inspection charges. It doesn't include the first registration fee or the cost of first VED. So on the Clubsport you have an extra £595 to play with.

You're welcome. For something dealers could be making more money on, I'm very surprised more explanation isn't given/known. This isn't just VW, in my experience you could ask most salesman and they wouldn't know off the top of their head, they'd have to look it up. It's also not explained on the VED GOv website, nor in any of the literature/brochures.

Just think of all those extra £595's they are losing and missing out on.

I'm going to say its because the phone camera is distorting the image, making that front wheel look larger...  Its now bigger than normal, but still ugly af

That photo angle is doing the wheels a lot of favour, still don't like them.

Got my test drive of the Clubsport tomorrow and I've been told its on the standard 18"s aswell. Will be interesting to see how hideous they are in the flesh compared to photos
