Hi,
I've a 2013 GTI PP that's I've had from new and it's been a paragon of reliability (and fun!)

Just recently however the passenger door mirror has stopped returning to the normal position after  dipping when I reverse. I've tried everything I can think of but to no avail. I can move it back manually using the mirror control, so it can't be the motor in the mirror housing.

Anyone else seen this? Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks

Have you changed key fobs or batteries by any chance?

So I tried my spare key which I haven't used for months and lo and behold it's now working. So a bit of a headscrather. But at least it's working. Thanks

So it goes down by itself in reverse but it's not coming back up again?

Assume you've driving over ~10mph as it won't move back up below that speed?

Yes, driving over that speed but it wasn't going back. But using the spare key seems to have fixed it now

Your welcome !!change the battery in the other fob. Set the limits again in the infotainment to reset the memory and see how you go
