Dare I say it but it looks better than the gti. Those side skirts look a bit like the tcr ones but body coloured.

So TG saying that it’s 316bhp. Seems odd after all the recent stuff we’ve seen. Appears there’s a performance pack which gives you the drift mode.

It still doesn't look right and looks like every other hatchback now.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

I really like it and it’s good they have worked on perceived weak areas of the MK7 design.

Found a few old to new comparison images. The MK8 performance golfs look so much better than the other models.

It’s an improvement on the rest of the mk8 Golf model range, but still not one of VW finest efforts IMO.

Just watched the world premier launch on YT. During the video the narrator clearly stated 320 bhp (not ps).

Not disappointed by the car but the pre recorded reveal was really sh!t, I think I expected a lot more

From the voice over on the YT world premier it sounded like the large spoiler and titanium exhaust are part of a performance pack. So my hunch is the billy basic R will have a normal, small willy spoiler :wink:
