Thanks to a referral on here (Will2018) I found Chris at CRP Detailers in Buxton. Chris is over the hill from me, so I popped over and had a chat with him to get a quote on my Golf R. He was quite hard to find as he purposely doesn't use signage which I like.
The supplying dealer had put a Williams ceramic coating on and sealed in some road marks which have slowly driven me to distraction when drying after my weekly 2 bucket wash. I still kick myself for letting the dealer put the ceramic coating on, but its all sorted now so I can forget about it.

Before quoting me a price Chris looked over the car and checked paint depth. Once happy he could correct all the issues I pointed out he suggested the following work, which I agreed to.

Full decontamination.
De Tar.
Fallout removed.
Clay Bar.
2 stage machine polish to cut back the coating then correct the defects underneath and enhance the gloss levels.
Wipe down.
Seal with fresh ceramic coating  - Feynlab Ceramic Plus with 5 year warranty.

Wheels were also removed and sealed with Feynlab wheel and calliper and infrared cured.

This gives an idea of the underlying issues that needed correcting. (Before and during). The close up shots do make the issues look a lot worse than they were. Most people didn't notice them, but I did and needed to get it sorted properly.

I'm very happy with the car and the way Chris worked. I dropped the car off on a Monday morning and collected it that Friday. Chris needed three clear days on the car and send me an update and pics.
I would happily recommend Chris / CRP Buxton. Chris was prompt with my initial enquiries which were weekend/ out of work and then clear in advising what the car required with a few options (both cheaper and more expensive). And imho the car looks bloody good now - just as it should do.

Looks awesome. I know how hard Lapiz is to keep looking good. It’s soft as butter!

That's a great finish, well worth getting done. Those issues the dealer sealed in would annoy me too. Lapiz is a beautiful colour

It was £650 all in. 20% upfront for Chris peace of mind. Whilst not cheap by any means, it was where I expected the price to be and as I'm really happy with the finish its money well spent for me.

For three days work on the car and a finish to that standard I think the price is reasonable as well.

I'd be tempted to take ours, but it would become like my motorbikes then.......only taken out on dry days...!!

Wow! Stunning! Lapiz looks fantastic when shined up like that. Should be easy to keep it that way now too so definitely money well spent.

Feynlab is at the cheaper end of the ceramic coating scale, and it looks as though only one coating was used all over rather than multi-layers. So from the £650 only £100ish was actually product (much less if the 'Ceramic Lite' product was used), the bulk of the cost was seemingly his time for the 'correction' (which looks very good!), so the price is pretty normal.
