I can only go on what was on the instructions in bug letters when I got mine which said not to use spacers, the CI-R may be different though. That said, if you've got the 8.5" ET45 there's no way you'd need spacers anyway (in my opinion).

yeah my dad says this, i'm now thinking to just go with the 8.5 ET43 to make up encase of the spacers thing. I am trying to search for any info ref this but can't seem to find anything.

Hi everyone, hope all is well/safe, have done some searches already but couldnt find exact answer or pics. Finally going to get some new alloys, but unsure on set up to get.

Currently got the Brescia 19's - 7.5J on the car - 225/35

New alloys i see come in 19 - 8.5J ET43 or 8J ET44  - not sure which to go?

i know it's probably minimal, i've used will they fit site also, but prefer to speak to actual people who maybe had these set up's before? the car is not lowered....yet, i will be putting on KW V3's once wheels are on.
In the same boat as you & close to pulling the trigger on 19x8, 5x112 et44 bbs ci-r in bronze... Also considering using the current 223/35/19 p zero that came on my Brescia's as they've only covered 1500kms.
2019 Mk7.5 GTI PP
Pure White, DSG, ACC, DCC, Pano roof, 19 Brescias, Rieger rear diffuser....at the moment😂

still not made a decision, hope to tomorrow. been outside measuring etc. my dad thinks either will be fine, but def wont need spacers on the 8.5J, will do one last sure measure up in morning and go from there. Ideally i didnt want to go down the spacer route but.....urgh my brain is fried now by all the millimetres lol

Just done a bit of digging on the BBS website...

The 2 different sizes are either 19x8(ET44) or 19x8.5(ET45) - don't know where you're getting ET43 from, but the sizes and offsets I've got are straight from the BBS website. That said, what's 2mm between friends! https://bbs.com/pdfs/gutachten/Anwendungslisten/Anw_CIR.pdf

From looking on  the "will they fit" website, the 8.5" wheels will poke 7.3mm more than the 8" wheels. My fronts (8.5" wide, ET46) are perfectly flush, so 1mm difference will make next to no difference on looks. https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=225&aspect=35&diameter=19&wheelwidth=8&offset=44&width2=235&aspect2=35&wheel_size=19&wheel_width=8-5&offset2=45 - you'd be able to compare your standard wheels to both sizes on this website too if that helps.

If it were me, I'd go for the 8.5" width with 235 tyres. I've had literally no issues with mine apart from having to do the fender screw mod, which takes about half an hour (I'm lowered too on Eibach sportlines).

I've had so many people mention how good the fitment is on mine. If you're anywhere near Lincoln, you're more than welcome to come have a look at mine to asses the fitment for yourself if you're still on the fence about it.

thanks for info and offer, i'm based herts/north london, but i am usually up in newark/grantham (pre lockdown).  I had my car out today in main road, ruler / tape measures out, back and forth, think gonna settle for the 8J's ET44 - now and go 235/35 with PS4's - think this will be best and i know for certain i'll look good still.

haha it's mad tho, coz others will go, you're all talking just milimetrers, crazy tho how 1-2 make such a difference lol

the ET43 was coming up as selection on BBS Dealer rimstyle's website, just did a search google and also comes up with that offset - but now seems to advertiser different PCD

thanks everyone tho for assistance / info / help - sorry if been a nightmare. pics will be put up when all done

So finally got my alloys fitted saturday, i ended up going with the 8J ET44, they look stunning - photo's do not do it justice, had quite a nice response from the staff/customers when i was there. Hopefully now get the coilovers on, i feel just needs some spacers on the rear, 11mm each side, that's it as fronts seem perfect. thanks for your help

Those look smart! Sorry I got a bit lost amongst the posts. Am I correct that they are 19 x 8? Shod with PS4 40 x 235? They are nice rims. What colour is your car?  👍
