I think that's a no... tinting the lights can make a car look a bit tacky. I've seen a guy I follow on Instagram who blacked out all the lights on his grey TCR and to be honest, it's a bit too much.

I don't want to black them out, just tint them a little so they're not so bold, without paying for a Golf R set

Think as a previous thread suggested if it's for a Mk7 get the darker R ones and sell your originals. Won't be a huge difference and will look OEM not like a Halfords advert.

I just kept on look out on ebay for my R set.  Got them for a little over £300, I probably could have got cheaper but I was waiting for  a boxed set for peace of mind that they hadn't been stolen.  If I remember correctly I sold the GTI ones for around £160 so one of the cheaper modifications that I made to the car.  I think new sets were going for around the £500 mark at the time.

I'm getting Gtechniq Ceramic and some PPF on my new car when it comes and detailer will need the car four days.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

Initially was going to be in for 4 days but because detailer  is so thorough It’s going to work out being there around 7 days and that’s with him working solely on my car for that week. He has it since Monday & hasn’t started the ceramic yet. Still working on paint correction. Price wise I’d prefer not share that on an open forum, in fairness to him after spending time up there watching him work I can only say he’s meticulous. For paint correction & modesta ceramic coating (he’s also a registered gtechniq supplier) for a golf sized car it will cost you over €1000. There are cheaper places out there but the results speak for themselves. I’ll post pics once finished.
