Yes, some. I'm not getting the entire car ppf'd just the areas at most risk. Front bumper, bonnet possibly wing mirrors. Is that ok?

How much is that Chris? Might be cheaper to let the inevitable happen (stonechips) and get a bonnet/bumper respray if you plan on keeping it beyond your PCP term. Now that you don't need to recalibrate the ACC sensor that's behind the badge (and do 4 wheel realignment prior to that), getting a bumper respray isn't a huge deal - they come off easily enough (as some people have observed when theirs go missing in the night).

I'd personally keep the money because you'll get no credit from VW at px time for having a stonechip free front end.

How shabby does that PPF look after a couple of years?

The guy ceramic coating my car at moment was only onto me yesterday about doing this, when I dropped in to see how he was getting on today he had one side darkened to give me an idea of it, plus the film is ppf

I''ve seen some horrible film jobs before with DIY light tinting, but I actually quite like the look of that especially on a white car.

Anyone used any good vinyls?

Mk7.5

I think that's a no... tinting the lights can make a car look a bit tacky. I've seen a guy I follow on Instagram who blacked out all the lights on his grey TCR and to be honest, it's a bit too much.

I don't want to black them out, just tint them a little so they're not so bold, without paying for a Golf R set

Isn't your car a FL 7.5? If so, the R and GTi have the same darkened lights already...

Of course it is. Just as chief PPF hater it's a bit surprising. Next up you'll be complaining about Bridgestone's, embracing Google Maps and promoting DTUK.

Chief PPF hater?? I'm trying it out because I'm getting a fantastic deal on it. It still might be rubbish but I'll give it a try. Bridgestones ok, Google maps meh, and I can't even bring myself to say the other

Are you trying to put me out of a job? I'm the designated chief Bridgestone hater!
