I have mine set around 36 PSI on Michelin Pilot 4S (and my previous Cup 2s) - but they always come back from the dealer set to about 40!
Current:
2018 BMW M2
2002 Porsche 911 (996) Carrera 4

Ex:
2017 GTI Clubsport Edition 40 #645, MG Midget, Audi S4 Avant, Mercedes-AMG C63, Porsche Cayman S Sport, BMW Z4MR, Honda S2000, Alfa Romeo GTV, Peugeot 106 Rallye, Austin Mini E amongst others

The Clubsport S ‘Ring car was using 1.9 bar (27.5 psi) front and 2.15 bar (31.2 psi) rear when taking the record.

I guess for road use the pressures would need to be increased though.

contacted my local vw yesterday to chase up the decision what they going to do about my bucket seats.
repair or new seats. been over 3 weeks now and still head office have yet to get back to them.
least its all logged before the warranty runs out i guess cos i can see this being a long dragged out issue.

recently bought a clubsport with the bucket seats, had to take it into vw for  issues with sides of seats coming apart from gloss black rear, sinclair vw say they have never seen the problem before, has any clubsport owners had any problems with theres? still waiting for dealership to get back to me on wether they can be repaired, or going to replace with new seats under warranty.

I've not had any problems on my CSS but if there are any promises about replacing under warranty, you'll likely find the service manager hasn't spoken to parts. I had a quote of £12k for replacement seats - they arrive in pieces and have to be assembled by the dealer. Just be aware of that with the conversations you're having and get any commitments in writing before the parts manager gets consulted.

they tell me they are waiting for a reply from head office about them, he did say it might take a while as they had never seen an issue like it before, but guess as there aint that many on the road its not a common problem. il be chasing them up again tommorow, but thanks for the tip about getting things in writing, maybe best to take a trip into the dealer instead of a phone call, cant belive they quoted £12 grand for seats!!

Did not expect it to work however raising and lowering the seat has cured the squeak on my CSS.

The £12k was actually £12.2k plus the cost of a day's labour to assemble them. They have to order about 100 parts a seat and then build them from scratch. They quoted me on a time and materials basis as they didn't know how long it would take them as they'd never done it before. The £12.2k is for materials only. Ballpark for labour was 1-2 days. Parts manager had to assemble the quote by itemising every single part - he said compiling an accurate quote from EKTA was enough of a ball ache and he expected the job to be the same.

Only reason I know this is that I read a forum post elsewhere about someone having his seats stolen and I couldn't believe that they were that expensive. To put it into perspective, to buy carbon fibre bucket seats from Porsche (the seats that are in the 918) are just under £7,500. So I phoned my local dealer.

Always a plan to get things in writing but I only flagged this because very few people know that the seats are so obscenely expensive and I think discretionary goodwill may evaporate when the prices surface.

Let us know how you get on.

Post #577 in the discussion thread at the link below mentions £12.5k for Clubsport bucket seats, so £12k-£12.5k looks to be the going rate. That’s eye-wateringly expensive :shocked: - it seems to be the way with VW if you need to replace factory fitted parts though;
    - a single replacement Pretoria alloy costs around £800
    - a forum member over on uk-polos.net enquired about replacing the trim inserts on the dash, centre console and around the front door handles, and they were quoted £1,500 to change a few pieces of plastic trim!

the latest now from vw is they need the car in for a day to investigate further and take photos to send to head office, they asked if i could bring it in for a day this week, but when i asked if a courtesy car was available they told me not for that day, so going to arrange another day in week or so.
not impressed!
