Congrats golfhappy and welcome back to being happy with a Golf!
But...
An S1 is a very desirable and fun car that’s pretty good on fuel still. You already own the S1 so the initial depreciation has had its hit already and it should be a much steadier depreciation from here on in. I’d imagine they hold their value very well to due to rarity.
Would the likely depreciation of the R-Line not massively outweigh any fuel savings, plus be a lot less fun to drive?
The R-Line is a handsome car, but it’s no S1.
