Had it for a few months now and works great. It's just that you need to have an Android phone to use it (android Auto). Very much doubt Apple will allow Google's Waze in though their eco-structure.

Yep, it's been available for quite a while now via Android Auto. I've been switching between that and Google Maps, it looks nice but I haven't yet got what all the fuss is about. Design-wise nothing touches GMaps for functionality and elegance and some of the Waze controls like zooming in your position are cumbersome. Some owners say Waze sometimes finds better route alternatives than GMaps but for the roads near me it hasn't been the case yet.

Google is actually better at avoiding traffic, waze is best because of the speed cameras and accidents, police etc. Google owns both... Some data from waze (users) is used in Google maps...

I used to use Waze because of the camera detection but as 90% of my driving is now in the West Midlands I don't bother anymore because we don't have any speed cameras.

I drive around with waze on all the time. Not using navigation, just having it warn me about stuff. Including being able to have it alert you if you exceed the speed limit. Very useful.

How much data does Waze use? I tried Waze and thought it was very poor from a user perspective.
