No worries at all, I'll probably have the same problem finding a free weekend but I'm sure we will work something out!

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd post here.
I'm interested in disabling keyless opening of my doors, but keeping the push button start ( considering I don't actually have a key hole, this is probably essential  )
I'm not sure if this works on the 7 as it does the 7.5, but lock the car with your fob, then within 5 seconds press the keyless button/sensor on the door handle. That switches off the keyless-entry system until the next time you unlock the car with the fob. Perfect for when leaving the car overnight or if in a particularly vulnerable place.
Has anyone managed to disable like this on a 7?

Doesn’t seem to work on my Mk7. The car locks from the fob, and then gives an extra flash of the alarm light when I touch the door handle, but will still open without using the fob. It would have been useful, I suppose, but, really, I think this vulnerability is no different to any other - except that it doesn’t involve forced entry to your house, or worse.

It'd be good to know if this can be coded out completely as per kalimon's post, as VAG seem to be rolling this out more and more across their range of top spec cars. So even though i've managed to avoid it this time, it's highly likely the next car will have it fitted as standard.

I've only ever thought of it as a gimmick with limited benefit, and messing about with steering locks and faraday pouches seems completely self defeating to me. So if there's a secure a way to be rid of it without affecting the push button start, it'll be turned off.

It's not exactly messing about using a pouch! Buy them in a pack of two one for your everyday key and one for your spare and that's it.

One thing I forgot to mention, on the 7.5 you have to wait 10secs after pressing the button/sensor on the door before you can test it’s worked.

I have disabled both the doors with OBD11, works exactly as i want for the doors/ignition.
Fob to lock and un lock, and retains keyless for ignition.

However there is a downside, the hatch is still keyless and i have yet to find how to disable the hatch.

I have asked on here in a different thread, but i dont think anyone knows how.

I believe you can fully disable keyless with OBD11, but you then have to place key next to steering column for ignition to work from what i have read.

I personally find it a pain in the arse using a pouch so disabling it is the route I will go down.

Still no worky on Mk7. Even tried doing everything stood on one leg, but still no worky! 😊
