The one they're testing seems to have too many doors and it's too heavy. It weighs more than an R if he's right about the 1500Kg.

Seems to be well liked by evo magazine.

Must admit, sounds great - they made a big effort to add some drama to the soundtrack

Getting better all the time though and we only need to look on this forum for creeky suspension , interior rattles etc to see everything is not perfect .

Not that much wrong with most Hyundai's these days, other than maybe the image.
At least they come with a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty, which is much better than what any of the VW brands offer.

Plus, it has been property engineered as they've got the guy who headed up the BMW M division.
Seems good value for £28k when you look at the spec sheet.

I know its a performance hatch by Hyundai, but my father has had Hyundai's for years. Even though they tend to look better these days in general when you get closer to a hynudai you can easily see where they have cut corners on cost. The plastics on the dash and interior have always been really cheap and hideous for one example of many I could list. my fathers X35 or whatever it is called always gives my wife and myself car sickness with its low window angle to seat height and wallowy suspension. We insist on always taking my Golf as we don't want car sickness again. Also the leather seats in the car have that cheap strong smell about them which emphasises the car sickness. I am definitely in the camp for VW over the Hyundai.
