Insurance seems to have rocketed up on these cars this year.
In 2016 I paid less than £200 for fully comp insurance for my R with a stage 1 map on it, upgraded non standard 19" wheels and a pedalbox.
This year my GTD (with DTUK box and pedalbox) was around £230 and my standard (plus pedalbox) Ed40 was around £270.
Every year you really have to do your legwork too.
LV used to be mod friendly, then they weren't. Then they wanted trackers, now they've decided they don't...
Other insurers I approached that had been mod friendly are currently not. Spacers were refused cover full stop with a few companies so I left them off. Pedalboxes seem to vary with cover depending on which member of staff you get.
