Mirror tilt on reverse not working

I've never used the mirror tilt function ever on any of my VW's it's been on.

I find it quite useful given the lightest kiss of the kerb messes up my alloys...

Wouldn't be without it, at least the rears never get kerbed and helps line the fronts up, especially those lovely rough edged granite kerbs!

Neither would I, my wheels are perfect partly due to this one bit of tech

I do have the reverse camera but still never felt the need to use the mirror dip.

Also if you've had the heated mirrors on and forget to turn the dial back the tilt function won't work, had that a few times in the past.

One of the worst bits of design on the Golf - my old astra used to have a switch that turned on the rear window heater and heated mirrors at the same time. Much easier.

A better alternative is a separate switch for the heated mirrors or at least the ability to set them in the infotainment system to come on with the heated rear window instead.
