I thought cars went straight to ireland(Rosslare) and then onto the dealers across Ireland by NVD

Irish cars now come into Dublin. You're spot on about NVD distributing form there then. I'm waiting to hear tomorrow if my car was on the boat that docked on Tuesday morning last.

Happy days - just contacted VW and apparently, car is in quality control... Getting there!!!

How did you contact them Tom ...min still hasnt moved ...still says build week confirmed !!

Do a live chat with them on their website  some of them are really helpful and can tell you exactly what stage the car is at, others have about as much access as we have and can only say it is scheduled for production this week. I just keep trying till I get someone that can give me the actual status

So do cars not come in through Rosslare anymore then?

Mine didn't go into build until the Sat at the end of the build week stated.

I haven’t got the car yet. Build was scheduled week comm 16 Oct which was last week. It went into build last Sat and then yesterday updated to left the factory and in transit. My dealer says it will be here in 3 to 4 weeks. Sold my current GTD which went to its new delighted owner last night, spoke to dealer about a loan car until my GTI arrives and will pick up a courtesy Golf this weekend. Top marks to my dealer as they have been great.

I changed the engine in my MK2 years ago and when I was finished my garage floor looked a lot like that.

I don't think so but I couldn't be certain. Dublin seems to be the preferred stop currently.
