How much does all that launch control/drag race stuff really matter to anyone, other than for YT/forums/pub bragging? And who honestly buys a car based on 0-60 times? It probably is the most irrelevant indication about a car's actual full-range performance for 99,9% of the buyers (ie. not drag-racers). Not only the time is heavily influenced by the type of drive and makes awd seem faster than it actually is in every other acceleration scenario other than a standstill start but maybe more importantly, performance cars today are so much more than a simple sprint to 60mph like they were 30 years ago.
A 60-120 or even 40-100mph run (which are actually a far more likely scenario if we were all a bit more honest) is a way better indication of a modern car's performance without the type of drive, tyres and inertia (for heavier cars) influencing half as much as in 0-60 races.
