Mk7.5/Mk8
« on: 12 March 2017, 20:59 »
Evening Guys!

Currently still very much enjoying my Mk7 tornado Red 3 door winter pack purchased back in September 2015. Just tentatively had a look at the part ex valuation against my finance agreement and surprisingly I'm a couple of hundred quid in the positive!

Has anyone test drove the new Mk7.5 yet? Or aware of any significant differences vs the late 2015 Mk7? Essentially Im look at this as an opportunity to get the gti with the DSG box, which was my only regret from last time!

Alternatively, I spoke to a dealer briefly last week and he said that the Mk8 was out 1H next year (2018)?!

I'm tempted by the 7.5 R but this rumour of a mk8 next year might make me think again.

Where do the dealers get their info from? Is it pure speculation?

No car manufacturer goes to the trouble of bringing out a facelift model for such a short period, second quarter of 2019 at the earliest in my opinion.

You don't know what you're missing!

Indeed!

Educated guesses for good dealers, gossip and speculation from others!

It's interesting that VW dealers refer to the FL Golf as a 7.5 as I'm pretty certain that title originated in forums and I've never VW call a model a .5 before.
