Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, but while I was on the UK configurator just now I notice a highlighted VW price slash.... I guess more pre-facelift firesale.

Not that you'll get a factory build now, but if you want one from stock...

Does anyone know how you can how you can access these offers on the Golf R?

Is it just a matter of contacting the dealers and seeing what they have got?

Get in contact ASAP with me or your local dealer. I reckon by the end of the week all the current stock MK7 stock will be gone. The only stuff left will be obscure trims and colour combos

Golf R's are becoming very difficult to get hold of, I spoke to a customer today and he had a spent a solid 8 days trying to get one with the new discount with no joy. He was over the moon when he spoke to me and I found him one today.

Nice spec on the demo, evo add in rear camera and car net and you have my perfect Golf R.
Would really like a Reflex Silver R 3 door but can not find one anywhere.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned before, but while I was on the UK configurator just now I notice a highlighted VW price slash.... I guess more pre-facelift firesale.

Not that you'll get a factory build now, but if you want one from stock...

I think the promo started just before Xmas.
I was just flicking through the VW website whilst bored at work and noticed the front page had changed but the way it was worded was a bit ambiguous saying £3250 off Golfs then mentioned the service pack underneath along with the PCP discount on that. I can see why it was worded that way to still tempt people into PCP's but it made it look on casual acquaintance that it was just a better PCP offer to clear the decks. More so that it shows a Match or whatever model so I didn't take too much notice.
I think it wasn't until after Xmas that the actual configurator made it clearer that the discounts were off cash or PCP or HP or whatever means of purchase.
I ran a quick scroll through Orangewheels and hey presto - a GTI 5 door with £6.5k off and no mention of PCP only, so no doubt an even better deal available through DTD.
The only flip side of the deal is if you need a part ex price on a car is that those prices are rock bottom in January, but if your car won't be with you until March or April you might see a slightly better price depending on the model and demand once CAP prices recover bit. From previous cars I've owned there has been over £500 difference in CAP value between January and March once the market picks up in Spring.
There are bargains to be had right now if you're not overly fussy, and as Lee says, if you can actually get hold of a car.
I don't know when production actually stops but I do know FL (non performance Golfs) production is imminent.
