16V Missfire
« on: 03 October 2016, 09:02 »
Hi been having a bit of trouble with my 16v KR she developed a random misfire a few weeks ago. would drive fine start fine then all of a sudden start misfiring and cutting out i had a look at the leads and one of them the main coil lead was nackerd so i replaced the leads and put a new cap on this seamed to solve the problem but now its started again will be driving along perfectly fine then suddenly start misfiring it has now decided it wont idle which makes me think timing? also could it be the distributor its self ? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hall sender on the dizzy or maybe the ign amp playing up, found above the ecu on the left hand side.

You can always time up the ignition but the advance isnt like the 8v so id have thought Hall sensor on the dizzy
