I got this message from my dealer, who was told this by VW UK. I think the other guys got the same message via their VW dealer too.

Just realised the CSS's CJX engine code is the same as in the R and Clubsport Edition 40, don't know why I am surprised about that

Ermmmm can you spell it out lol. Why would that explain the update? 😩

If CSS and CS Ed 40 (my friend had this delay too with his Ed 40) are being delayed for software updates my guess would be that the ECU still has the CJX map for Golf R and it's easier for VW to change this post production.

Or it could all be a big lie and one they roll out when there's something they would rather not reveal going on

The GT4 is a great car and i am on the list for a 991 Gen2 GT3 - just love the challenge of finding the next great car ... driving for a few years of free motoring and getting your money back is never a bad thing to do

Checked yesterday with VW UK and my CSS is still in Emden.
It's got to move soon if they want to deliver it in November as per their forecast

I would, although the tracker says my week 39 car is is transit its actually still sitting outside the factory waiting for a software update along with all the later build week cars we are supplying. Apparently some of them have moved but I'm yet to see any make their way to the port yet.
