I take it its not possible to add heated seats? Thats the only downside really, would have been nice at 5am on the way to work in the winter!

Congratulations on your new car. You've said that it hit all the specs you wanted (barring heated seats) and leather was one of your requirements. If you've got leather trim, you should have heated seats as they are standard with leather.

You'll be able to tell from the rotary controls on either side of the heating / ventilation control panel; the 2 rotary controls will have a heated seat symbol in the middle of them.

If the car was specced with leather seats from the factory it should have heated seats as standard as the above poster has said.  My CSG MK6 GTi has leather and has the heated seats. 

I remember buying a new mk4 GTi Turbo for the wife back in 1999 and heated seats was part of the leather upgrade option.  I believe that's always been the case with Golfs, you spec leather and you get heated seats thrown in as part of the package.  I'm almost 100% certain that if you spec leather from new i.e. a factory order the heated seats come with that option.

If the car you're buying hasn't got heated seats it may be that the leather interior is a retro fit.

Well thats even better then! I forgot to look for myself, then as I was leaving I just mentioned oh btw do you know if it has heated seats, he said he wasn't sure but didn't think so. I imagine he didn't know so didn't want to give any false promises. Pretty sure its factory fitted so should have the option
