I personally would take photos before & after the repair, but I'd only consider the deal if there was no restriction to paint guarantees etc.
In any case, disclaimers aren't worth the paper they're written on. (Well, in the UK, anyway). It's more of an admission that they knew something could go wrong, but they went ahead, anyway.
