I would take a look at the car first and be prepared to walk. Not sure why a disclaimer is required unless its very bad.
Also the fact they want to give you 1k before you kick off is a bad sign to me, Its either exceptionally good customer service to offer you large discount before you kick off in the dealership, or the car is in a bad way and they are concerned of warranty paint issues in years to come.
1 last possible option, we aren't all buying cars the same way, so if you are on a 2-3 year PCP who cares. Take the 1K and give them the car back in 2-3 years. If its a big new car purchase, a long term car, think twice...
