Hi I purchased a hub sport steering wheel boss off ebay too fit my mk3 the boss goes over the splines but just can't get the centre bolt too the threads am I doing something wrong or have they sent me the wrong item can someone help cheers

Have you tapped it down. Last one I got on a mk2 i hade to tap it down until I could get a thread then it pulled it up tight

Gotta be the wrong lenth then if it goes in to the spline but nit far enough down. Is it touching anything behind?
