Chris - just leave the car in Sport mode (to minimise pedal response dullness) and enjoy the 2nd half of your throttle pedal travel. I'm firmly in your camp, and i'm not keen on seeing the adjustment part stuck to my lower dash - i'd rather not see it when fitted. Some people love having their throttle on a hair trigger, i'd rather just put my foot down hard when I want the response.

Does anyone have one of these and leave their engine profile in anything other than Sport/Race?

It's made a huge difference to my GTI so I would advise you to just buy one already

Got my pedalbox in the post today, certainly prompt service from DTUK! No chance to fit it yet, hopefully before the weekend as I'm eager now to see the difference that has been raved about

Once you've had it on for a week, switch it off and drive for a bit without it - the difference when you switch it back on will tell you it was money well spent.

Will do, thanks

The instructions seem to have lost a bit in translation though, not sure I understand what the - button and red leds signify?

I too was in the camp of the slow throttle response and I too bought one after reading the various post's on here and speaking with Andrew at Dtuk.
I've yet to fit mine due to work and weather at the weekends but I must say I'm quite looking forward to the ' OMG moment ' hahaha all in good taste of course

The instructions seem to have lost a bit in translation though, not sure I understand what the - button and red leds signify?

On the settings, there are  3 main program buttons PROG, so select that first.  Then the other +/- leds are for adjusting the responsiveness of the program.  The green led's are pluses + (from neutral centre point), the red led's are minus  -  from neutral centre.  So whatever Program you choose - Sport, Sport+ or City, on the +/- lights display, 3 reds is the least aggressive setting, increasing through the range - 2 reds, 1 red, neutral 0, 1 green, 2 green to 3 greens which is the most aggressive setting.  Avoid the most extreme setting of Sport+ and 3 green lights which can cause the car to go into LIMP mode, and I know someone who had theirs on this setting and that's what happened.

The sweet spot setting for me is Sport (amber light)  and 2 green lights.
