Unfortunately I haven't really driven it in D with any gusto, will have a play through the week and report back (on holiday for next 2 weeks)

After trying all the modes I have settled on Sport 0 (no extra lights) for now. If I go any higher the whole car thumps with a surge of torque at the smallest press! This was when testing in the Golf's sport mode and 3rd gear at 2200rpm, and no doubt the extra torque of the DTUK box is to count for this (which is running in 2 +2 mode).

Once I get used to it I may find I can use a higher setting, but I'm not sure my passengers will appreciate getting thumped in the back quite so often if not

Interested to hear your experiences Stevie with your similar car setup to me.

Hi Dan, I must say I'm pretty impressed with the pedal box. I didn't get the OMFG feeling others have got but it certainly brings the car to life. I have it on the Sport Plus and 2 green lights. It was a bit too much at first but I've quickly got used to.
My front tyres are nearly on the markers so when I put the pedal box on at first the car was terrible for tramping in 1st and 2nd but now I've learned to control the pedal its a lot better.
Hopefully it will improve no end when I change the tyres.

Interestingly I've just taken the pedal box off and fitted it on my wifes GTI and not really noticed much of a difference. Maybe I've been spoiled by the GTD

Are you guys turning the box on/off everytime you get in the car as I noticed the box was lit up when the ignition was off yesterday and I dont want to flatten the battery over time.

I just leave mine alone, sport+ and two lights and forget about it.

Leave it on.  After ignition is off, controller stays lit up for a couple of mins only, then it switches off (lights go out), so no danger off running battery flat.

Good to hear Stevie, well I will definitely have to delve back into the higher settings then won't I?  New tyres should definitely improve your tramping, I can't remember the last time my car tramped - I think I could only do it now in the wet with 1st gear if trying.

Interesting about the GTI, I think it stands to reason a shorter revving/higher torqued diesel may have an amplified improved feel from a pedal box? Or I might just be talking rubbish. Adding a tuning box to the GTI might level the playing fields (or push the GTI into the lead no doubt!)

Well I had that OMFG moment today driving into work.
I had completely forgot I'd taken my pedal box off and fitted it on the Mrs GTI.
I honestly thought my car was broke for a few seconds.
What a difference without it.

Lol.

Get it off the Mrs' car and back onto yours.

Pedal box on the Mk7 is a bit like DSG, once tried, no going back.

I spent a couple of hours washing the car tonight so I decide to go for a run out to relax. Before I set of I decided to give sport+ and three light a good try, I found it fabulous with all three lights and I would really like it as my set default, has anybody used this setting on a gti for any decent length of time?

I am a little concerned that I might be pushing the boundaries and wouldn't like to get an error , sport+ and two lights has been no problem.
