Decided to take the plunge too and get one but then re-decided and went the whole hog!

Now I just need this rain to stop so I can get them both installed. Wish I had a garage

Waiting impatiently for the OMG moment....
Good luck getting a break from this rain
Your car should be transformed when you get that lot fitted.
I'll probably get the pedal box when funds allow but can't really justify the tuning box ( or can I )

Hopefully not long to wait for that moment!

They're going on a GTI PP..... when this damn rain stops!!!

Resigned to it not happening today as the rain looks like it is in for the evening here. However, forecast for tomorrow looks promising...  :smug:

Well I managed to get the pedal box installed this morning and wished I had smaller hands when trying to connect it.

Took it for a quick test drive and I must say I was hugely disappointed as I didn't get an OMG moment!!

Instead I got an OMFG moment      LOL, I can't stop grinning!

Should've had one of these on from the moment I got the car and I would most definitely recommend it to anyone who may be on the fence considering buying one. Just go for it.

Tuning box installation delayed until the weekend..   but something to look forward too.

Great to hear,Do you think it needs the tuning box ? I have had my pedal box fitted for a few days and it feels like its actually getting faster each time I use it, got to say it does feel so much better...what settings are you on ?

Currently got it on the City+2 setting. I am going through different settings each day to find the one I like that most and that suits my driving style.

Probably doesn't really need a tuning box but I've always wanted to get one as opposed to a remap

This thread proved too much temptation for me so I've bought and installed a pedal box too.
Fitting took literally ten minutes but Booth11's "how to" post was massively helpful, thank you Rebecca; it's what forums like this should be about.  The hardest part was contorting my (middle aged bloke) body to get at the connectors.  Also I'd recommend sorting some extra lighting (a portable lamp I suppose) in the footwell so you can see what you're doing more easily.
I've set it to "Sport" with 2 green lights and would describe the effect (on my GTI PP) as follows: it actually makes the car a hot hatch!  It really livens up acceleration but without changing the refined nature of the car.  A bit like adding a few chilli flakes to a mild curry, if you like.
I imagine things vary with your driving style; if you are habitually heavy footed then you might not notice much change, but I'd thoroughly recommend this gadget if, like me, you're usually gentle with the accelerator.  For £156 delivered, it's a no brainer.
Over the next few days I'll have a play with the various settings.  Does anyone have any views about City vs. Sport vs. Sport Plus?

Bubba.

Bubba, you have succumbed.   Glad the guide was of some help.  And sounds like it's given your GTI PP a kick up the proverbial - every performance Golf needs one!
