When regulators failed on my mk4 they didn't make any squeak but I could tell the regulators had an issue as window was shaking when going up

Do Windows go up and down smoothly or does glass move side to side (if that makes sense)?

If you think that the noise is coming from the guides/channels, one of the silliest sounding solutions is talcum powder...use a decent pressure air nozzle to clean the channels, then a liberal dosing of baby powder.

The excess can be blown away with the nozzle....and your car will smell quite nice!!

Sounds dumb...but it works.

Tip....give the edges of the glass a real good clean beforehand...and only apply the talcum when everything is completely dry.

My car was in for a service at the local dealership yesterday & oddly enough I have a similar problem with my driver side window making a squeaking noise but only when going up. I asked them to take a look at it as they had the car all day anyway as I'd be at work. When I got the car back, they told me it's due to the rubber seal perishing & nothing to do with the regulator, it would be £98 to supply & fit.

It's nowhere near as bad as the video linked, my understanding that is if the window is getting stuck or becomes slow, that will be your regulator.
