No Spark
« on: 03 June 2016, 17:39 »
My 1.8T AGU cut out on me and now wont fire back up, it turns over.. I can hear the fuel pump prime. Up to yet I have I have tried a different crank position sensor, cam sensor, ignition amp and replaced spark plugs. I have checked all fuses by the drivers door and on top of the battery. I have had it scanned but not with vag com, with only boost pressure valve the only code to appear. Anyone shed any light on this for me? TIA

I had a brand new genuine one last year, but trued with another to eliminate the CPS, the rev counter moves a little as im cranking which also suggests the CPS is good. I'm getting fuel but no spark :/

I have tried another yh, but it was from a breakers and wasnt exactly the same as mine, as though it was an aftermarket IA, would a faulty IA cause no spark to all 4 coils, if so then i'll look to find another part to try

They normally only drop one spark first. But its possible to drop all of it.
Ecu hasnt imobilised its self. I dont know if its fuel or spark they do.
Mate had an s3 where his ecu imobilised. Just deimobilised ecu. If you scan instrument cluster itll say a fauly is there if it has

Try the fuse that feeds the coils... can't remember the exact one but it's 20amp
