Keyless to operate from the rear doors as well as the fronts.
Inability to lock keys in the boot. (3rd time last week. I know- it's my fault).
A 60+ litre fuel tank.
Puddle lights fitted to all four door handles, like my bmw. They actually illuminate puddles not jus the door panels.
A dedicated detatchable towbar bolt that isn't retro fit by a half arsed vw dealer.
A footrest pedal that matches the other three aluminium ones.
Driver mode selection button on the steering wheel.
Current-Jan 2017 M140i, auto. Mineral Grey. ☠😈

Gone-mk7 golf Gti PP, Carbon Grey, 2015 specification, 5dr.

I would like dimming external mirrors.

I don't dislike the style of them, they're just such a pig to clean properly round the back with that channel behind the spokes.
Oh and they need spacers to sit them properly in the arch.
You're not wrong about that channel actually.
I might look at spacers shortly. Any recommendations?

The channel is dead easy clean provided you have the right tool. Smallest of the wheel woolies does it perfectly.
I've got wheel woolies and the small one is nigh on useless for wheels. Pretty good on honeycomb grill though

I find my wheel mitt gets in the channel of my Santiagos just fine. Any odd missed bits get sorted when I take the wheels off for a more thorough clean.

I went for some Sparco ones as I liked the idea that they used the brake disc screw to attach to the disc/hub making it easy to locate the bolts.
Otherwise go for a quality make such as Eibach, H&R or Forge as examples rather than cheap eBay ones that might not be machined as well or worse still the spigot might not be very strong.
10mm front and 15mm rear are popular sizes but I went for 12mm and 16mm.
how easy are the to fit and do they come with bolts / locking wheel bolt ?
Very very easy to fit and you can properly clean and seal the backs of the alloy wheels whilst they're off.
Some come with bolts some don't but suppliers will advise you on correct figment. Put it in another thread so as not to clutter this one up any more; snooze had a spacers thread recently or just PM me and I'd be happy to advise.
Lockers are bought separately I'm afraid.

I'd like to see less, much less. Just a proper car not a 4 wheeled laptop. Then they can use any savings to screw things together a bit better. Perhaps more wheel alternatives and a bit of weight saving wouldn't go amiss.
You're speaking my language Watts.
There are just too many cheap showroom gimmicks now.
No wonder driving standards are so bad if everyone is concentrating on their radio screens and Internet streaming rather than what they're doing whilst travelling at potentially lethal speeds.

I'd like to see the golf get the button that you press to shut the boot instead of shutting it manually

That's the only exercise a lot of owners get

  probably true in some cases

I was thinking it would be good for the owners who have kids & partners who have to leave hand prints all over the outside of the boot lid when they are closing it, especially after you've spent hours cleaning the car

I'd like to see less features, the mk2 had fewer features but was the best of them all. The features are just damage limitation.
Suffering from a severe and unforgiving case of GTItis
