I almost bought one of these last week, then realised it is android only and not for ios... damn ..... want to turn my aktor down or off..

Why not just buy a cheap android tablet to use with the obdeleven pro.  I'm all Apple/iOS, but bought this tablet solely for obdeleven purposes, and works a treat.  http://www.argos.co.uk/product/6558800

Obdeleven pro is one of the best purchases I've made for the mk7 R.  Bought direct.  Highly recommend. https://obdeleven.com

In addition to the obdeleven pro forum, lots of info and coding on the R forum too in the obdeleven sub section.  http://www.vwroc.com/forums/forum/84-obdeleven/

Sorry for resurrecting an old post but now in the process of looking to get an OBD11 - all i want it for is to adjust lights, sound aktor what can the basic OBD11 do without the need for PRO ?

Offline I wanted a GTi

As said, go for the Pro as once you start changing things it is addictive and you can long code and do adaptations free. The Apps are easier .... but cost credits on both Basic and Pro however you do get 5 free ones every day if you go on it to get them.

I’m 7,000 miles in on my clubsport and really enjoying it... but in the last few weeks I have been very aware of a vibration coming from the middle of the dash. It is new and almost sounds like this soundaktor has suddenly come loose. It is super annoying, do I just drop in to the dealers and have them sort so it is back to how it was or do I ask them to turn it off. Has anyone else had the issue of suddenly becoming more aware of it?

Thanks

Mine sounded horrible on my Clubsport too.
I just leave everything in Sport apart from engine noise which is in Eco.
It sounds ok now and I can hear the exhaust burble rather than what sounds like a misfire.

I turned the Soundaktor down to about 40% via VCDS on my R and that sounded ok too.

I have mine in comfort on my CSS

Sounds like a diesel in race. Sport isn’t too bad but still not too fussed on it so leave it in comfort which is it pretty much switched off as far as I can tell

After 2 years of a vibrating dash in race (and sometimes normal) I seem to have fixed the issue.
I took out the soundactuator and stuck some anti-rattle felt on it, underneath the nut.
Put it back and did the nut up tight.
I put some soft sponge in all the gaps around the soundactuator, in front, underneath and behind.
I put some sponge underneath the join in the middle of the plastic cowl that sits above the soundactuator (the two pieces tap together).
Ive done several hundred miles since doing the above and so far no vibration or rattles in race mode. Because of the sponge round it , the noise has changed to a nicer, deeper tone too.

If you disconnect the Soundaktor in the 7.5 GTI Performance, does it remove the exhaust noise from the cabin completely (or significantly)? Had a test drive before Christmas and, thinking back, I'm not sure what I was hearing was the actual exhaust, sound piped into the cabin or combination of both.

I have my engine noise set to Eco in Individual mode and all I can hear is the exhaust - that's with a res delete though which has increased exhaust noise though.
