Taken delivery of the R. Will put my thoughts down later

Been confirmed as next week for me, and going to be really interesting to see how the reality matches up to what perceived to make me select the R.

Be interesting to see your thoughts in similar vein.

First thoughts on my commute to work is that it's a wolf in sheeps clothes. Comfortable and understated but power on tap especially compared to GTD.

Better comments after 100 miles or so. Dropped the Mrs to work today. It was parked directly behind theGTD and she thought that it was standard compared to the GTD.

Also one gripe, my GTD used to mute the sound when I pressed the voice button on radio or steering whee. Now you get a message for voice activation. Anyone know if there is an easier way to mute as I don't have access to the VCDs.

One of my wishes was that it retained the level of comfort that presently used to on the 19" Pretoria and slightly lower ride of the R

On GTD, the DCC in comfort is really cushioned and normal is more than acceptable so was hoping the R will maybe give me the GTD 'normal' in the 'comfort' setting on the R.

Its one of reasons love the car, in that is can be a comfortable day to day commute and with a few quick selections it will be that wolf you describe.

I do want best of both worlds, 2 cars in one, and its reason selected the DCC.

As for understated, well the more the better really for me, though think Lapiz on Pretoria is going to catch more attention that my present white GTD

Look forward to the 100 mile check in, and a photo maybe too :)

I saw an M2 that had just been delivered as a demo back in April at Mill garages car clinic at Boldon. Looked really nice especially in the Blue.
