I don't see the appeal of tt's. every tt I have ever seen has made me feel ill...........

Every TT you have ever seen has made you feel ill? Are you not being just a touch melodramatic?
Clinic is that way ----->

Seriously though that is why there are hundreds of different cars even thousands if you include colours etc so you can pick what you want and leave the one's causing health issues to others.

Actually I looked at a TT one morning and I felt sick, granted I did drink a large amount of JD the night before but I'm sure it didn't have any baring on it

Not me but my daughter, picked up a new TT on Saturday.

Initially I wasn't a fan of it but its lovely inside. The virtual cockpit , not to everyone's taste adds a touch of class. The seats are fantastic (Alcantara / leather). It just seems in a different league to anything I've been used to in a Golf.

Ohhhh I like that!
What engine?

Its just the base 1.8 Andy.
She's always wanted a white Audi TT since she started driving 6 years ago. So she promised herself one when she got through her training and got a full time job. So that came to fruition about a month ago  It was just about to board the boat when we went enquiring so only a 4 week wait.

Its actually quite nippy for a 1.8. Looking at the specs its 177bhp and 0-60 in 6.9. I know specs aren't everything but for comparison it seems quite good. She's delighted so that's the main thing

It's basically the same engine as the Polo GTI then which is quite a torquey thing, nice and easy to drive without having to be thrashed. That engine is used quite a bit in Audis and also the Scirocco now I think(?).
Fair play to the young lady and a well deserved reward.

Tell her it remaps well!

I was exaggerating, jesus I wasn't expecting anyone to take it literally. I have no issues with VAG (I love them, I've grown up surrounded by them. I just would assume vag would make a car of that type and I like it, but don't), if I were to win the lottery my collection would have a few, mk2 g60, rallye, keep my mk6, get this new clubsport s, audi sport Quattro, and I would track down my dad's old mk2 gti. Etc. I have no issues with vag I just think tt's are awful.
