They are an original set wrapped (or skinned) in carbon fibre. You can buy these (Mine were £100) or get stick on versions (still real carbon fibre) for around £60-70.

Another alternative is to wrap them in carbon effect vinyl wrap - it might not look quite so good, especially round the sharp creases on the top of the housing though.

Similar - I just spotted a company selling similar ones at around £100.

There are how to's available on the web but simply put, you tilt the mirrors as far down as they go and you can then access the 2 clips on the inside of the mirror housings. If you do it yourself, be careful - I now have 2 feint lines on the black plastic portions of the mirrors where I removed the old covers.

These are the people who I got mine off - they don't seem to have any Nk7 ones at the minute though, but no doubt worth a message...

Cheers Andy they do look great.
My Mrs had winter alloys for her A1 so would be crazy not to get another set for her Golf. I could put them on mine accidentally of course  :grin:

Best "cosmetic" mod I have done is installing the Remus Catback exhaust. Really adds to the looks of the rear end, not to mention the sound.

As said - BBS SRs in 19" with 235/35 R 19 Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 2s.

As for the drop - it's sat on Eibach Sportline springs on standard shocks.

that looks great against the white.

Just ordered some wheels myself, but without any drop I think it will look "ok" at best, but saving 3.5 kilo's per wheel so hope its worth it.

Don't get me wrong, it'll look great with the wheels alone - I'm just a sucker for a lowered car!!
